Celebrating friendship anniversary and Winterlicious 2025. The menu is attractive. The service is excellent. The truffled beef carpaccio is outstanding, you can taste the truffle but no overpowering taste.

Great service and atmosphere, solid food that was flavourful and left us full and satisfied! Ordered Winterlicious and did not disappoint.

Beef carpaccio and salads were delicious! Salmon was perfectly cooked and had lots of quinoa/lentils, broccolini, red pepper sauce. Osso bucco was tender and the risotto was slightly sweet from the butternut squash. Both portion sizes for mains were huge! Hibiscus panna cotta was nicely tangy and the fig ricotta tart was absolutely delicious.

Tried their Winterlicious lunch menu. Google says they're not open yet till much later in the afternoon, but I asked the server and they said they open for 11:00am for lunch.

They have a double storey height ceiling in their dining room with a second level up some stairs. The booths are generous with the amount of space for guests to sit at. I wasn't really vibing with the interior decor, which felt a bit tacky. But it was fine to sit somewhere for a meal.

The bread was bland and had a cakey texture to me, which seemed off, and was served at room temperature. They served it with some chili olive oil which was very much mild in terms of spice level.

The beet salad was good. I liked it with the fig and balsamic vinaigrette and some pistachios for a bit of crunch.

The goat cheese and spinach stuffed chicken was also good. The chicken was still moist. The goat cheese pairs well texture- and taste- wise. I liked it with the parsnip puree and the crunch from the fried chickpeas.

The tiramisu was like most other tiramisus that I've had and wouldn't say there was anything special with it. The panna cotta was pretty tart and had a cheesy texture to it.

The staff checked in on us throughout our meal and were pretty friendly.

MARVELOUS DINING EXPERIENCE !!!

On December 29th 2024 I hosted a Holiday Festive Luncheon for 16 members of my family at Blu Ristorante. The owner Alfredo and his restaurant staff, from front of house staff to the kitchen staff, all worked diligently in creating a marvelous dining experience for me and my family.

SEATING AND ATMOSPHERE
Beautiful venue for a family gathering. The restaurant establishment is very cozy and intimate. Décor charming with very comfortable chairs. They have a first floor and upper-level dining area. I chose the lower level.

They implemented my request for a square table setting (5x3 on both opposite sides), even though they had never done it before on the first floor. It ensured at all those sitting at the table could see and converse with everyone else. No one felt left out of the conversation, even the children. My entire family just loved it.

FOOD
A Fixed Course Menu specific to my Italian family’s palate was developed between myself and the restaurant, using the restaurant’s pre-set menu as a basis. The menu was diverse and accommodating to those with allergies and the children. The menu also had a select list of drink cocktail options to choose from.

The food was exquisite; fresh and very delicious from the hors d’oeuvres to the desserts. I’m sure the kitchen staff noticed that most of our plates went back fairly clean. My family raved about the food, and were amazed that the children ate most or all of their plates. Two of the children would only eat pasta with tomato sauce made at home but to their surprise they finished everything. Also, the Berry Martini (non-alcoholic) was a hit with the tweens.

Special thanks to the Front of House Staff, Steve and Faisal, who looked after us on the day of the luncheon. They were so attentive and accommodating to our needs and especially patient with the children. Similarly, a big shout out to the Chefs/Kitchen team for spoiling us with such appetizing and succulent dishes. Their hospitality and perfection will not be forgotten.

Once more, thanks to Alfredo and Kamila (the owners) and the entire staff at Blu Ristorante for creating such a memorable family holiday luncheon.

As soon we walked in we were greeted and had our table ready 20 minutes before when our reservation was for. Michael was our sever and he was amazing! Very good knowledge on the dishes and promotions. Was checked up on every 10 minutes, water was topped up. Food was amazing and came out fast! Overall we had a great time here and will definitely be back soon.

Had the $79 tasting menu for dinner, but was a bit disappointed. There’s nothing to be complained about service and atmosphere, but the food itself left something to be desired.

The first three courses are okay, nothing particularly amazing but nothing terrible either. The best dishes are the tortelloni and the calamari. only bad part was the second course pasta was already cold when served and the mushroom was too salty in seasoning.

The fourth course main dish was the one that disappoints the most. The lamb rack that costs additional $11 was so small I can practically finish it in one bite,and the surface of meat tastes totally burnt and bitter. The branzino was one of the driest pieces of fish I’ve had in any restaurant.

Maybe the the proper dishes in this restaurant is better, but I do think they have a lot to improve on the tasting menu items.

I had a very disappointing experience at Blu on New Year's Eve. Earlier in the day, I called ahead to confirm that the restaurant was open, had available tables, and would allow us to come in for a drink at 5:30 PM. I was assured over the phone that everything was fine, and there would be no issue. However, when we arrived, we were turned away and treated poorly, with the staff dismissing the situation as merely a "miscommunication."

This was not only frustrating but also incredibly unprofessional. On such a busy and special occasion, I expected better communication and customer service from a restaurant like Blu. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake or offering a solution, the staff made no effort to accommodate us and left us feeling unwelcome.

This incident completely ruined what should have been a pleasant evening for us. The lack of respect and care we received was unacceptable. If Blu cannot honor its commitments or properly communicate with its customers, they should not be making false assurances over the phone.

I would not recommend Blu to anyone who values good customer service. The management clearly needs to improve their processes and teach their staff how to treat patrons with respect and professionalism. This experience was a major disappointment, and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Overall, the staff are incredible. They are all very attentive and refill your glass very quickly. (Sparkling or filtered).
In terms of the drinks:
The Mojito was very minty and not sugary. Some people found it quite sour.
In terms of starters:
The ceaser salad was quite salty but still delicious.
The roasted pepper soup had great flavour but became overpowering the longer you ate it. Many people said it would pair well with the bread better.
For the mains:
The salmon had a good char flavour. Nothing out of the ordinary.
The stuffed chicken wasn't very flavourful. It was cooked well but had no defining flavour.
The sweet potato gnocchi was well balanced. (Green pasta)
The zucchini pasta was well done too.
For desserts:
The tiramisu was quite sugary.
The Panna cotta was very balanced and slightly sweet.

We have tried their taste menu for our Anniversary. The food is great. However, the restaurant arranged us among many big and small groups. Turns out it was so noisy and we needed to talk loudly. Overall, this is a good experience. The taste menu is $79/person except some add-on with extra charge. It is a reasonable charge.

I recently visited Blu Ristorante and had a truly enjoyable experience. The food was great. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. This place is a gem, an elegant restaurant that I can go to and enjoy food while still be able to have a conversation with my friends.
Highly recommended. The food was beyond delicious, by far the best beef carpaccio I have ate. Lots of options on the menu, we did order many appetizers and salads in addition to the main course so we can experience different plates.
Our server Michael is a super star, very passionate about food and service, he recommended many things and even changed a the pasta sauce to make it more delicious. We followed his recommendations and we were so happy and enjoyed everything at Blu
Tiramisu was also beyond delicious!
5 stars and above for this place. Will be back for sure.

The food tasted great. I was really happy with the serving size of the pasta as you often find restaurants are a bit stingey with pasta.

Most impressive, however, was our serve Michael who really made the experience great. He knew the menu inside and out and provided amazing service. He truly made the experience amazing.

Blu Ristorante: A Yorkville Gem for Food and Wine Lovers

Blu Ristorante: is set in the fabulous Yorkville area, and the ambiance certainly lives up to the neighborhood's charm. It can get a bit crowded when full, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere. If you're looking to sample a variety of dishes, the set menu is a fantastic option—but do yourself a favor and go for the wine pairing.

The wine list includes some unusual Italian selections that are hard to come by. I highly recommend giving these a try—the flavors are absolutely incredible, and you won’t find these wines just anywhere.

When the weather warms up, snagging a seat on the patio is a must. Whether you’re dining during the day or enjoying a night out, the alfresco experience takes it to another level

Such an amazing night at Blu. I had the "Seafood Linguini" at BLU Ristorante, and it was amazing! The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the prawns and sea scallops were fresh and delicious. The dish was full of flavor and made for a truly memorable meal. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Wow! We had a fabulous experience at Blu tonight which we booked for a group of 18 for a wedding rehearsal dinner. They knew we were on a tight time frame and served us unobtrusively and with ease. The food was amazing and the service top notch. We had struggled to find suitable venue for our dinner and booked this without seeing if. I cannot rate it highly enough! Had an incredible dining experience here, made even better by Michael, our lively and hilarious server. Despite the heavy rain, the staff didn’t miss a beat, quickly and smoothly transferring us to another table without any fuss. The food was just as impressive – from the fresh ahi tuna tartare to the perfectly grilled Australian rack of lamb, every dish was packed with flavour. The tiramisu for dessert was the perfect finish. Michael’s service, paired with the outstanding food and seamless handling of the situation, made this meal absolutely worth it. I been here got stake and wine it was a good night until when they give away my jacket to a nother client and my car keys were there so they got me Uber home and I got ticket in my car and they didn't pay for the ticket and had to go there twice payed by my own and they broke the fob key they smashed it and put it back to my pocket and they blame me for it please keep your jacket to yourself and if you can avoid going there because it was a clearly set up job to destroy my night out with 8 friends.thanks

My review is only based on the menu I read, this is not Italian or at least can be what I call “ AN ITALIAN WANA BE” aka grandma Italian ok but you are a mangis( my son define himself and all the Canadians from Italian parents) because most of the ingredients in our BIG CITY LIKE ROMA, MILANO, TORINO, NAPOLI .. we don’t use most of North American stuff 🤷🏼‍♂️😂 so my rating is only based on recipes and ingredients as I have been cooking AUTHENTIC ARTISAN ITALIAN FOOD FOR 16 years I’m a 3rd generation ROMAN BORN RAISED IN ROMA da Trastevere and I know ITALIAN FOOD BETTER THAN OTHERS!

I had an incredible experience at Blu Ristorante while celebrating my godsister’s birthday! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for such a special occasion. Shout out to Brian, our amazing waiter, who truly made the evening unforgettable. His attention to detail was impeccable, and he made sure we had the best recommendations for both food and wine. He took the time to explain each dish and suggested perfect pairings that enhanced our meal. Brian’s friendly and professional demeanor made us feel well taken care of all night.

The food was outstanding, every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was cooked to perfection, making the celebration even more special. I can’t recommend Blu Ristorante enough, and thanks to Brian, my godsister’s birthday was made extra memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Blu offers an incredible menu of choices and a patio that is both spacious and private considering the fact that it borders Avenue road.

Service is very good at times bordering on intrusive. That’s my perspective. My wife defined it as a high level of care and enthusiasm. So please take these comments in the proper context. Water glasses are filled frequently and with speed, with some spill over into your dinner plate from time to time.

The food is very good and the portions are reasonable. Overall we had a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend this place. They offer a really good dining experience.

This is a perfect place to celebrate any occasion. Took my friend out for a birthday dinner here today. Waiters are so friendly. Always someone checking on you and filling your water. The food absolutely amazing! (literally can’t stop thinking about it)) They did a great job with timing the service of the food. Atmosphere is so elevated and relaxing.
when booking a reservation it lets you choose the occasion, when we finished our dinner they did not forget to congratulate the birthday girl with a desert. ( a lot of places tend to forget when not reminded)
Over all definitely my new favourite spot! Beautiful place great team and amazing food. Will be coming back!

Absolutely incredible experience! The food was phenomenal, every dish was a masterpiece. Our waiter, Mauricio, was exceptional - attentive, friendly, and made our entire party feel so welcome. He was so kind to our young niece Mia and our Nephew Luca and made sure they had a wonderful dining experience. We were particularly impressed by the manager, Jeff, whose kindness and willingness to go the extra mile truly made our evening unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

Me and my partner had a wonderful dinner here. We were immediately given a warm welcome and seated at a fantastic comfortable booth table. Our two servers Brian (and another who’s name we unfortunately can’t remember)were both absolutely exceptional. Honestly the best servers I have ever had in a restaurant. They were attentive, prompt and so friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible, highlights were the ravioli and the chocolate cake. There was a pianist playing which added to a lovely relaxing ambience. We cannot wait to come back here!

I went with my girlfriends for summerlicious which was good. I really enjoyed my selection, my friends chose the rib and duck which was very delicious as well and the fritters! Definitely want to come back to try other items on the memu. The only thing I would note is the recommendations, maybe my friends and I have very different flavour palettes from the server due to nationalities (all of us are asian) but most of the description of the drinks were not the way they sounded lol I recommend the pear mimosa which was to be said was not as sweet as the peach, but my friends and I all agreed the pear was sweeter and was better. Thank you for having us, looking forward to trying the other dishes

I thought the restaurant itself was very beautiful, the food really wasn’t anything special. My friend sent back his steak twice because it was undercooked and ended up having to order something else. I had the salmon and it was pretty good. Good experience overall.

Nice Italian eatery with a warm and inviting ambiance, both inside and on the patio. The staff is incredibly sweet and treats you with the utmost respect. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find delicious options available to me. My pasta was flavorful and the dessert (saffron coconut panna cotta) was the perfect way to finish off the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

A relaxing place to go to for lunch while on the company dime. They have a lunch set menu with great value for money! I wasn't a fan of the zucchini pasta though - it was literally zoodles and was a bit on the salty side for me (personal preference)

I went to Blu Ristorante for their Summerlicious menu with my family, as it was one of the highest rated restaurants (on Google Maps) in the Yorkville area that was participating in Summerlicious.

I really liked the decor of the restaurant - it was upscale and elegant, and each table had a good amount of space such that it didn't feel crowded. The servers were very attentive and provided excellent service from the beginning to the end. Unfortunately, it was the quality of the food that let us down.

The complementary bread that is served at a lot of Italian restaurants has consistently been a good way to predict the quality of the rest of the food to come, in my experience. They served focaccia with olive oil to start, and I thought the focaccia was quite dense and extremely salty. With that said, it was still moist and it felt freshly baked so, overall, it wasn't the worst one I've ever had. The beef carpaccio was well-prepared (ie the thickness of each slice of beef was perfect), it just needed a bit of seasoning and acidity. The pickles that were served on the side brought some life to the plate, but I felt a bit more acidity component (e.g. may be from vinegarette or even a quick spray of lemon juice) and salt on the actual carpaccio itself would have made the dish more memorable and also a better starter to the meal.

The braised short ribs for the main course was a huge letdown. Yes, it was cooked well and the ribs were very tender. However, both the jus and the ribs were very poorly seasoned, they completely lacked the depth of flavour you'd expect from a nice cut of beef that's been braised. I was also not impressed with the polenta - honestly, I was expecting it to be creamy, but it was served in a more solid form, almost like a cornbread. It wasn't as dense as it looked and it was better seasoned than the ribs, so it was the best part of the dish, but I was still a bit disappointed it wasn't prepared in a more traditional way. It just didn't really enhance the dish at all to serve it in that manner. The vegetables on the side were inedible, the asparagus in particular were extremely overcooked and bland.

I also did not enjoy the cannoli - first of all, to call the dish cannoli, they really should have served more than one... it's just not the type of mistake you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. I'm glad they served only one though, because it was just not good. The crust was way too thick, it was not rolled out enough and it was so dense that I couldn't break through it with a spoon. Also, it completely lacked any sweetness that was needed to lift the dish a little. The chocolate crumbles they served underneath tasted as though they came from the freezer. It was just all so forgettable. Given the flavour profile of the pistachio filling, I did not think sliced strawberry and gooseberry were good accompaniments; it felt like they didn't really think much about the overall execution of the dessert.

Given this is one of the more upscale Italian restaurants in the area, I was just really let down by the food they served here. Most of the food was very poorly seasoned and lacked the quality and the thoughtfulness behind flavoring I expected from this type of restaurant. I will not be coming back, and I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I recently dined here, and I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, capturing the essence of Italy. The food was exceptional; every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and authentic. Our server Enzo did a phenomenal job. We felt so very welcome and pampered. We went for our anniversary and we felt like we experienced such an outstanding Italian restaurant experience and were very grateful! The preset menu was the most reasonable and the most delicious menu at the most reasonable price we’ve ever received in Toronto. We are huge foodies , and have been to some of the best establishments in Toronto. This place is 10 out 10 in every way! Appetizer dish Octopus was burnt and dried on the grill. very fatty food... I ordered a dish with duck. It was impossible to eat, there was a lot of fat. Yes, the duck is fatty, but they also added olive oil. And I also ordered an Aperol Spritz, there was supposed to be Prosecco but there wasn’t.

Boyfriend and I love coming here, especially for the beef carpaccio.

BUT I must say that the food is super salty on some days.

Steak seems to over cook a little, order medium rare and we get closer to well done, order rare and we get closer to medium rare.

Cocktail menu is quite limited and not very special.

Atmosphere is great, good for dates. I like that the first floor and second floor have a different feel and you get to choose.
Also like that it’s not crowded and very quiet.

We hosted my daughter's Baptism lunch at Blu recently (having dined there in the past). It was a great experience, the food was delicious and well seasoned. Favourites include the roasted squash ravioli with gorgonzola and crispy sage, the salmon, the gnocchi, the braised beef cheek, the poached pear and fig salad and the tiramisu. In terms of food, the beef carpaccio is so good. The beef is fresh that can taste a bit sweet. Less seasoning is good enough. Pasta also needs to be try. I forgot to order Tiramisu.

The food was uniformly excellent. The only issue was that a steak ordered as "medium rare" came out as "very rare". I ate it anyway (and it was quite good) but a place of this quality shouldn't have made such an error. Our waiter was excellent as well.

The issue marring our enjoyment of the evening was the host/greeter at the front door, who spoke only to me (male) and, multiple times, clearly and deliberately ignored my partner (female). We noticed this while being seated and remarked on it during dinner. But on our way out it was even worse. The host brought our coats out from the coat check, literally threw my partner's coat at her, and then made a grossly obsequious showing of holding up my coat to help me put it on. The restaurant needs to find a host who will respect all patrons, not only the men.

I cannot overstate how great our experience was. This was our first time at this restaurant and I can find no fault. The restaurant is classy and clean, the service is excellent and the food is exquisite.
Michael looked after us and was a pleasure to talk to. All the staff are friendly and professional. We had the tasting menu and Michael exchanged one of the courses to facilitate me being a vegetarian. Not everywhere is as flexible. There was also a nice little touch of a candle and happy birthday message on my wife’s plate with her dessert.

Seating woman insisted on knowing my full name and phone number before my date and I could even get a table. "We like knowing our clientele"... Basically they thought my date and I looked too cheap for the place. Waiter liked reminding us of the drink and dessert menu, I know you work on tips, but sometimes people just aren't that hungry. If we were hungry we likely would've gotten the Winterlicous menu. My risotto was good and waiter was quick to refill my water. There was a large selfish man seated behind me that decided to not pull in their chair, making it difficult for me to even get in or out of my chair. Piano atmosphere was nice and romantic, yet if you and your date are seated next to a loud group you'll barely hear it. Overall regretful dining experience. If you dress fancy and don't smoke weed you'll likely have a better time.

A wonderful special occasion, or any occasion, restaurant. We came here for a birthday dinner but would come back for a regular dinner as well. The food was delicious and the price point was not unreasonable compared to other places in the city. All of our dishes were equally good, from start to finish. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. Michael, our server, gave us great recommendations and guidance on our choices, and how much food to order, for our party of three. The atmosphere was also great. The tables are spread out far enough apart that you are not on top of one another, like at some restaurants, and the lighting was appropriately dim without being too dark. We also went on a Sunday night and they had a wonderful pianist playing, which was a lovely touch, not often seen anymore. It was at just the right volume so that it was not intrusive to our conversation, and made for great ambience in the background. Overall, we had a wonderful evening as a family and wouldn't hesitate to go back, even with all the other choices the city has to offer.

Excellent food and menu options, I particular liked the option of the tasting menu that allowed for a lot of exploration. I enjoyed learning about each dish and was pleased with the recommendations from the server Michael. The service was prompt and efficient without being overly attentive. The addition of the live entertainment was a pleasant surprise. The piano player/singer introduced himself to each table and took requests and performed the requested songs, amazing! I am a first time guest and will most definitely return.

Great place for a group. They have a couple of round tables. Winterlicious is in full swing, be aware that the whole table must order from that menu or none of you . The donuts on the winterlicious menu are underwhelming, most of the party enjoyed their means and appetizers.

Me and my husband recently booked Blu for winterlicious (2024). We loved the food, service and vibes overall.

We came 15mins early for our reservation and was seated right away. There was coat check available. Apparently we got seated at the VIP table which is supposed to be the best seat in the resto????????‍♀️. At the end of the night i agreed we did see the full view of the restaurant from where we were seated.
We both started with soup of the day “coconut lobster bisque” it was delicious, hearty for a cold winter night.
I had the Stuffed Chicken
(Goat Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast, Green Beans, Heirloom Carrot, Parsnip Purée, Honey Chicken Jus), it was very tasty, everything complemented each other. Chicken was cooked perfectly- very moist and not dry for being over cooked

My husband had Braised Lamb Shank
(Red Wine Tomato Braised Lamb Shank, Brussel Sprouts, Heirloom Carrot, Parmesan Polenta, Mint Lemon Gremolata), also very good, the beef was well cooked and fell off the bone. It would’ve went well if paired with rice, it was quite saucy.

For desserts i had the tiramisu, it was good , very creamy. My husband had the donuts also good.

The food was served quickly and our server was friendly and nice. the minor thing that bugged me was every time we would finish something they came and cleared it off…we were constantly interrupted by it while having a conversation. It also felt like we were rushed to get out. we were there for an hr and half. i had to chug my wine cause they cleared the cutlery/plates etc off the table

I have never in my life failed to finish a steak, ever... except recently at Blu Ristorante. The ribeye was utterly tasteless. My guest's Ahi Tuna was also bland. The bread basket contained two pieces of bread. The service was not attentive and seemingly inexperienced - some servers lollygagged. I've had good dining experiences at Blu and I've taken concerns up privately with Blu on two past occasions: calamari - foul, pungent odor on one occasion and excessive smokey taste from the wood oven on another occasion. Management was kind enough to offer compensation - I declined and merely suggested they consider my concerns and presumably those of other diners. Last night's dinner was my last at Blu.

Went with a large group for Winterlicious. I was happy with the food but a few in the group were really unsatisfied with their dishes and the service. A few notes- the vegetarian pasta on the Winterlicious menu was awful (I was told by a few people), the beef carpaccio was fantastic, and I loved the saffron panna cotta (even though it didn’t have a great shape or the hard gelatin consistency because it was vegan). There were a few issues with the service, they tried but there were some shortcomings. I still want to rate them 4 stars because I thought they tried their best and were consistently professional when we voiced our concerns.

What a brilliant place! Go here! Enzo the waiter was thoroughly great and made the whole evening superb on top of the chefs' fantastic food for Winterlicious. The detail in the food was delicious, with crispy textures, a range of sweet, savoury flavours, and tasty ju. We celebrated my birthday and the Happy Birthday was such a lovely touch. Please try this place at least once or more! Sit upstairs - good vibe. Give Enzo a raise!

This place is absolutely amazing. I went out for a first date and I have to say I am so glad my date picked this place. The people were so courteous and friendly.. The chef is so nice... And the food...????... It was amazing. I could go on and on and on.

We had a wonderful Winterlicous dinner at Blu Ristorante. The food was awesome and our waiter Michael provided excellent service - in fact all the staff were very friendly and hospitable.

I had the Pear Salad, Seared Salmon and Panna cotta. I recommend them all as they were beautifully presented and delicious.

We had a booking for 45 people here for a corporate team dinner. Everything from the booking process to the service on the night was outstanding. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. We went for a set menu due to our numbers however there were great options to choose from with around 6 choices per course which is impressive for a set menu.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone - corporate events or personal dining. The team assisting us on the night were all amazing and we will definitely be back for future events! Thanks everyone at Blu!

We had the most incredible experience working with Blu Ristorante. From when we started our inquiry about using their event space to the day of our wedding party, everyone we spoke to was thorough and attentive to our needs. A big thanks to Kamila whose patience and timely responses to my many questions helped me feel at ease throughout the planning process. The elegant decor and atmosphere of the restaurant also meant that we did not need to bring in too many decorations ourselves - plus that chandelier is gorgeous! We were able to use the whole restaurant for our event, and the mezzanine on the second floor made the place feel very spacious for our 50 guests. The staff were also welcoming and helpful during our set up, and even brought our boxes upstairs without us having to ask. They set up the tables and A/V equipment exactly how we’d outlined. Now for the food: a SOLID 10/10! Our guests were raving about the food and wine long after the party was over. They had a ton of delicious options to choose from, and the portions were excellent size for what we paid. We plan to come back for Valentine's Day (because I want another taste of that panna cotta). Thank you to all the staff who worked that day. You truly made our special day even more magical!

Everything about this restaurant is incredible!

Let me start with the absolute highlight of any fine dining, the service staff! Everyone was so lovely, especially the gentleman who served us.

We came to Blu for my birthday, and our server proceeded to regale us with stories about his wife, who shares the same zodiac sign as me. Completely adorable!

The food was really tasty. I especially liked the salmon and zucchini pasta.

Definitely recommend it for special occasions, the atmosphere is premium.

Visited this place for the first time today and was pretty dissapointed. The man working in coat check was great, very hospital and friendly 5/5 for him. You can hear the piano playing when you walk in and the performers voice is great, but he is tucked away in a corner facing the wall/window so that's kind of awkward rather than having him be on the main floor amongst the guests as a performer. We were seated upstairs and it was pretty congested because as the waiters were passing behind me they were hitting my chair multiple times due to the narrow space. It was busy for NYE but the ambience is affected if there are so many people close by and getting hit by people again and again. The food was meh. I expected much more from the amazing reviews but it wasn't that great. The tiramisu was good, carpaccio was good, main entree of duck and beef was the worst. Lacked flavour and the rissoto needed to be cooked more so it was dry. I love buratta and this was dissapointing. We only had servers come to our table to give our food and leave, no opportunity to talk to anyone about the food. You pay high price for dissapointing experience.

I can’t begin to say enough about how amazing this place is. The service was immaculate and Brian is an absolute delight. He made our (anniversary dinner) experience all the more better thanks to his energy and giving brilliant recommendations.
The food is top notch and we left feeling like we’ve learnt a lot more about each and every ingredient used in every dish. We tried the tasting menu and enjoyed the flavours in each and every one of them. My favourite is the butternut squash ravioli - it’s unlike any other ravioli you’ve tried before, and the truffles beef carpaccio (too good!)
All in all, it’s 100% worth it.

We had our office elite group party of almost 45 people. The space was somehow adjusted for all of us. The cocktails and the snacks were very tasty. Service was not great as the server had to go every time to the ground floor and bring us the drinks and which took longer than the expected time. I loved the bread and the olive oil. It was so different than we ate at our home. The feta cheese stuffed chikan was delicious ????. Desert the Teramisu was yummy as ever.

Went to this restaurant for a work lunch function! Not only was the atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful but I couldn't say more about the kindness and friendliness of the staff! And then there's the food..... I'm no food critic but I'm picky!! I had the stuffed chicken breast as my main course and it was absolutely delicious! I have a hard time deciding which was better, the staff or the food lol!! I would recommend this restaurant to anybody and would be absolutely over the moon excited if I got to go again! My most sincere compliments to everybody there for making the experience for not just myself but all my co-workers a pleasurable and memorable one! Cheers!!

I came here for a corporate Xmas party. The h'orderves were delicious. I couldn't believe the chicken skewers were fully cooked because they were so tender. I had to check with the phone light to see....yes the chicken was well cooked. 4 stars for food.

I'll have to come back for a sit down meal.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with their tasting menu.

My main course was the stuff chicken. The chicken's texture is really weird... It's almost like the McNuggets meat... Maybe they have tenderized it way too much.... Chicken meat shouldnt melt in your mouth.

The butter squash ravioli was not good... The squash was a soft paste and lacked a distinctive taste.

Therefore I took away 2 stars from the Food category...now sitting at 2 stars. To be fair, high praise for the dessert : tiramisu and panna Cotta which were the best.

We are debating whether to go back.

Honestly i have been to many restaurants the last few years and this one is my top choice for Italian and atmosphere and service ! I love it here, always an amazing experience and meal and service. Thanks guys you make me feel like a king ! I had the Linguini this time with shrimp and the sauce was the best sauce I’ve ever had in my life. I had a few tequila cocktails with like delicious. Our server Mauricio is one of the most attentive nicest servers I’ve ever had bet professional and makes you feel like you are at home !

We dined here on a Saturday, and were also with our toddler son.

Parking is available at the underground garage diagonally opposite the restaurant. We had a reservation so we were almost immediately taken to our table by the hostess. The menu was already placed on the table, and the ambience is quite affluent, to say the least. Even the washrooms were paid attention to.

We started off with their alcoholic Berry Martini and a simple non-alcoholic Mojito, both of which were quite tasty. We then ordered the Pumpkin Soup (Soup of the day), the Beet tartare, Zucchini fritters and the Poached Pear salad. Each dish was amazing, and the flavours complemented each other with every bite.

For the main, we split the Squash Ravioli. This was the first time I personally had a dish with balsamic vinegar drizzled on top, and it made sense. It was delicious and filling. While we wanted to, time wasn't on our side for dessert.

If you're coming here on your own dime, it makes sense if it's for a special occasion. The atmosphere here is quite pleasant, but there was a table where one guy was evidently intoxicated and speaking and swearing loudly. I just wish the staff could actually do something about that.

Overall, we still managed to enjoy the meal, and would very much love to visit here for another celebration or milestone.

We came here for a group gathering on a Thursday night and the restaurant provides us with a semi-private space upstairs. And other tables were full, both downstairs and at the bar!

We enjoyed cocktails and a 3-course meal. We were welcomed with Butternut Squash Ravioli that I really liked. I ordered Ahi Tuna Tartar for appetizer, Woodfire Grilled Australian Rack of Lamb for entrée and Blue Chocolate Cake for dessert. And I enjoyed all.

The service was amazing with great atmosphere. Finding a parking spot in the area is challenging though.

My friend and I had a tasting menu yesterday evening. Tasting menu is vegetarian/vegan friendly. My friend had non-vegetarian options and I had vegetarian. Food was great, service from our waiter, Brian, was outstanding. There was a small mixup in the tasting menu, but Brian immediate got that fixed. Wine selection is also great.We will come back again for sure.

The food was absolutely delicious! As for the service, it was impeccable. Our server Michael, was attentive, kind, and funny. We had a lovely time. Also, if you go on Fridays they have “Friday Feature Cocktails,” we tried the pineapple syrup cocktail and it was so good. We’ll definitely be back.

During our recent visit to Blu Ristorante, we encountered multiple disappointments. The quality of the food did not meet our expectations, and the service was notably slow, with over a 90-minute wait for our main course. Strangely, management pointed to two pieces of prosciutto that sat on our table for a significant time, suggesting we were still engaged with our appetizer and therefore didn't require our main dishes yet. Moreover, they mentioned our ongoing "conversation" as a reason for the waiter's hesitance to serve. By the time our main course arrived, our appetite had waned from the prolonged wait, diminishing our dining experience further. Instead of a sincere apology for the oversight and delay, we received explanations. The prolonged wait unfortunately did not result in a dish that was worth the anticipation.

They subsequently canceled my OpenTable reservation, preventing me from leaving negative feedback. I'd recommend looking elsewhere; there are numerous superior restaurants in the city that won't keep you waiting for hours for your main course.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. We had the Berry Martini Mocktails, we found them to be the perfect blend of sour and sweet. I do have allergies and they were very accommodating. The beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth delicious, and accompaniments delicious. I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi w Beef cheek and it was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend had the Butternut Squash ravioli, and it was buttery and satisfying. For dessert, the Affogato, biscotti, and Blu cake were the perfect way to round off. This is definitely the place for you to splurge and eat your way around the menu!

- Watermelon Feta Salad was GENIUS, shouts to the chef on that creation

- hubby loved the lamb and i loved the rissoto that came with
- I got the stuffed chicken 4/10 for me.

We did try and experiment with different dishes we normally wouldn't as to the low numbers but experience was great.

The place is very nice and elegant, live music was a great bonus but we couldn’t hear it on the 2nd floor.
The food was good, some choices were excellent (like salmon), but some were not (steak for instance, great sauce but the meat could be a better quality)

Nice Italian restaurant, perfect smiky staffs. Enzo was our waiter, they did a wrong salad with bacon (we asked without) and even they made a new one cause of our children got upset first, they didn't charge us. I appreciate.

Akila was a Host, kind and professionally welcoming.

The manager is from Mexico if I am right and he is supervising everything.

Other staffs I mean who brings the foods, waiter's assistants, should pass more lessons.

I liked the Ravioli, Tiramisù and the Salmon.

We choose Blu for my daughter's wedding dinner with a guest count of 26. The restaurant provided us with a nice semi-private space for our event, and we opted for a fixed menu that offered a well-balanced selection of 4 appetizers, 4 main dishes, and 4 types of desserts. It was wonderful to have the freedom to choose our drinks as well.

The food and the overall atmosphere were very satisfying. All the dishes from the menu were top-notch in terms of taste and presentation, leaving a spectacular impression on everyone; our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and wished the newlyweds well.

Though the restaurant did an excellent job overall, I have a few suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the live music in the second-floor hall was barely audible, and it would have been great if it could be made more prominent. Secondly, the guests were not informed about the menu items, leading to some of them not making the ideal choices for themselves. This resulted in guests exchanging dishes among themselves after they were served.

Additionally, I expected a bit more attention and involvement from the waiters, especially considering we spent around $4000 on the dinner for 26 guests including 4 children and 11 adults with soft drinks . Despite these points, the pleasant atmosphere and fantastic food make Blu restaurant a definite recommendation for family celebrations.

Great experience. Came with a group of 8 for a celebratory dinner with the summerlicious menu. Service was very attentive & patient, waiting for all members to show up before we order food. All courses were brought out simultaneously & they were full of flavour, hot & presented well. It was a nice night out in a beautiful location & I would return again for regular menu.

Friendly service and great vibe! We sat on the patio and it started to rain so they moved us inside and we were glad they did! The restaurant had live music inside and the musician was amazing. Food was great and we recommend the ribeye and carpaccio but all of the food that we had at our table of 5 was great! Highly recommend!

A friend booked this for my birthday and I really enjoyed my experience here. The waitstaff were wonderful and the food was amazing. We ordered two appetizers - a pear salad and an eggplant dish. The salad was phenomenal but the eggplant dish was quite small in portion. For our mains we both ordered the special - crab ravioli in spicy rosé sauce and we were not disappointed. Would definitely come here for a romantic date. I've heard there is sometimes live music, but we did not hear any when we went (on a Saturday).

Yes this review is a bit late coming but people are still raving about the impeccable service especially from their friendly and knowledgeable staff (Mauricio, Luis, David and Nasir - I made sure I wrote down their names for this review)! Do yourself a favour and make sure you make it here at least once because the food was amazing, from the appetizer to dessert. I didn't get a picture of the all the options but these ones still bring back the memories of our night at Blu. Thanks to all the staff, and a shout out to Kamila (Event Coordinator) and Jeff (Manager).

Came here for my anniversary.
Right now, Blu is my favorite Italian restaurant in Toronto.
The waiter was calm and polite, the ambience was lovely, the food was exceptional.
I’ve gone back 3 more times because I love it so much.

My partner and I ordered 3 plates of Pasta with a glass of wine. We really enjoyed the meal and had some takeaway.

Service- 10/10
Ambience - 9/10
Overall - 10/10.

I will greatly recommend this place to anyone who wants some nice Italian food! Absolutely love it !

Dined in on New Year’s Eve, and enjoyed a fabulous evening filled with delicious, good looking plates and great drinks. We loved the festive atmosphere. The live music wasn’t too loud, just perfectly enjoyable. The staff was very attentive and responsive. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience.

5/5 for perfect romantic ambience and live music, the artist John Campbell had a golden voice! 3/5 for the food. We got the grilled calamari to start which was excellent. The squash ravioli filling and sauce were absolutely delicious but could have used a few seconds more cooking on the pasta. The truffle mushroom risotto was disappointing, under seasoned and could not taste any truffle in there whatsoever. The chocolate cake was delicious and oozed perfectly when cut but the pairing vanilla ice cream should have been less sweeter. We also tried the Chardonnay and Rieslings and both were great!
Our food and wine servers were great, but our main server seemed to have a problem acknowledging me at the table and seemed to want to interact exclusively with my partner. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with our genders but it left a bad taste in my mouth on an otherwise amazing evening.

Amazing experience, food, vibe and service.

Ordered a prix fix Summerlicious menu as well as an appetizer from the regular menu.

Amazing quality and presentation of food.
Server was lovely.

Live pianist played later in the evening too.

I'd definitely return for another visit.

Went here for dinner for my birthday and the experience was definitely amazing. Fine dining at its best. The waiters were attentive and friendly. The price for the food was more affordable then my guest thought but the food still held a high standard. Definitely willing to go back again.

Nice fancy environment. Great for a quiet, upscale date night!

Service was fast, food was pretty good. Extensive drink list for those who want to drink something fancy.

Took a star off because they the picture of the Lamb dish on their website was not what they actually served. (both had the same name labeled on it) They must have mislabeled it or it was an older picture.

Either way we enjoyed the lamb! Just was expecting something different.

Love the new location. We often went to Blu when it was right in Yorkville. The new location is amazing, John Campbell who plays the piano on Sunday nights is a very talented musician with a wonderful personality. The staff here is all so very attentive from the manager to the server ( Brian) and right down to the young man that cleared the tables ( Jamal I believe was his name) the boss has assembled a great team . I will say that I did send my steak back because it had more cartilage than edible meat. The server quickly switched it out for a delicious lamb shank that I really enjoyed. The issue was dealt with perfectly and that’s all you can ask for. We will be back often.
